TLV Ladies' Nine Hole Club

TWIN LAKES VILLAGE LADIES' NINE HOLE CLUB  

HOW DO I JOIN, AND WHEN DO WE PLAY:
The TLV Ladie's Nine Hole Club was formed for women who only want to play 9 holes of golf, but enjoy a league setting.  We play every Thursday with tee times at 9:00 a.m. through June.  In July and August we tee off at 8 a.m.  Our goal is to play in 2.5 hours.  Dues are $40 per season and you do obtain a U.S.G.A. GHIN number.  Green fees for non-TLV members are $22 for adults, $18 for seniors (60+), or $220 for a league season pass.  Cart fees are $6.75 per person, but we do try to line you up with a member with their own cart.  You may also choose to walk.  Handicaps are established after 5 rounds of golf.  You are welcome to play two rounds with us before league dues are required.

2010 GOLF SEASON DUES:
Our club dues of $40.00 for the year 2010 were due February 1st, 2010.  However, we accept new members at any time during the season.   The deadline for dues payment to maintain your GHIN number without interruption was April 20th.  You may mail your check to our treasurer, Jan Geiger, 2604 North Center Road, Spokane Valley, Washington 99212.

FIRST DAY OF PLAY:
The first day of play began April 8th, and we are now playing every Thursday.  We have had some rain (an understatement), but expect better weather soon!

OUR NINE HOLE INVITATIONAL WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 5TH, 7:30AM CHECK-IN
$40.00 includes golf, cart, lunch, and prizes.  Please sign up with Diane Thomas, 5147 Rhodes Court, Rathdrum, Idaho 83858, telephone 208-687-9453.  We will be helping Family Promise of North Idaho.  It is a shelter that allows parents and children to stay together as they progress toward self-sufficiency with the help of 16 local churches and synagogues.  If you would like to participate, some of their current needs are:  childrens' toothpaste, shampoo, bedpillows, disposable diagers (sizes 3,4,5), laundry soap, plastic utensils, paper plates, cups, or any cash donation.  If you can help, lease bring your items to the Invitational.  Thank you for your thoughtfulness.  If you wish to view information about Family Promise go to www.FamilyPromiseNI.org

BUSINESS MEETINGS ARE HELD ON THE FIRST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH:
Our next business meeting will be held on August 12th at 11AM.  At that time we will be voting on a change to our Bi-Laws.  Article Seven, Section three currently reads as follows:  "The first Thursday of each month, before play, shall be designated as an open meeting for all members.  All members must be at the club house 30 minutes before play on every Thursday and one hour before play on the first day of each month for the open meeting."  It is proposed to change this section to read as follows:  "The first Thursday of each month, after play, shall be designated as an open meeting for all members.  All members must be at the club house 30 minutes before play on every Thursday and stay one hour after play on the first day of each month for the open meeting."  A majority vote of those present, will determine if this change becomes part of our Bi-Laws or not.  Please plan to attend the meeting.

LINE UP CHAIRMAN:
Barb Wilson will be our line-up chairman for the remainder of the year.  If you would like to play golf on any given Thursday, please call her at 687-3164.  Visitors and new members are always welcome.  If you have already signed up to play golf and your circumstances have changed, please call her and tell her you will not be able to play.  Thanks!
